When you register as a prospective investor: your name, email, phone number and country, the investor category you confirm and the statement you tick, an indicative amount, how you heard about us, any message you send, and the time and IP address of your registration. If you then invest: your postal address; where you invest through a company, its name; the amount you invest and the shares you hold; your Unique Taxpayer Reference or National Insurance number if your investment is made under SEIS or EIS; the investor category you confirm (certified high net worth or self-certified sophisticated investor); the name, address and email of the person who witnesses your signature on a deed; and, when you sign electronically, the time, your IP address and browser, and the typed signature you enter.
To enter into and perform the investment agreements with you (contract). To keep the statutory register of members and file returns at Companies House, and to submit SEIS/EIS compliance statements to HM Revenue & Customs so that you can claim relief (legal obligation). To check that we may lawfully make an investment offer to you and to meet anti-money-laundering rules (legal obligation). To keep a reliable record of who signed what and when (legitimate interests in evidencing the agreements). To tell you about your shareholding, shareholder resolutions, funding rounds and company news (legitimate interests; you can opt out of news at any time).
HMRC (your name, address, tax reference, shares and amount, in the compliance statement). Companies House (your name and shareholding appear in the public register as the law requires). Our accountants and solicitors, under confidentiality. Other shareholders see only aggregate cap-table information; individual amounts are not published. Our hosting provider (Hostinger, in the EU/UK) and email provider (Microsoft 365) process data on our behalf. We do not sell your information.
Registrations that are declined or that never lead to an investment are kept for twelve months and then deleted on request or in our periodic review. For shareholders, for as long as you are a shareholder and for at least six years afterwards, because company-law and tax records must be retained. Signature records are kept for the life of the agreement they evidence.
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or object to or restrict some processing. Where we rely on your agreement (for example news emails) you can withdraw it at any time. Email invest@mavistech.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Documents and personal data are stored on an encrypted server behind login; signing links are unique to you and expire when used. Please do not forward your signing or portal links.
